UPS Technical Sales Executive
Powerworks is a provider of power protection solutions including UPS & Generators right up to complex ‘Tier 3’ or ‘Tier 4’ solutions. In addition the company offers High Integrity Modular Computer rooms, sold as fully integrated turnkey installations. The company is the UK subsidiary of a major European manufacturer of power electronics equipment. Powerworks is an established and financially sound company with ambitious plans for growth.
The role
An ‘end to end’ sales position which includes sourcing opportunities, establishing customer needs, providing consultative advice, offering different and innovative solutions, preparing quotations and closing the sale. The role includes consistently meeting or exceeding agreed annual sales targets.
Skills experience and aptitude
- Minimum HND, preferably BSc in an engineering discipline, ideally electrical engineering
- 5 years Industry experience
- Technically competent, with knowledge of UPS, Generators and electrical installation in a computer room environment
- Consultative sales expertise
- Analytical solution provider
- Highly motivated self starter
- An excellent knowledge of the sales cycle and process
- Proven ability to close a sale
- Track record of achieving or exceeding demanding targets
- Good interpersonal skills both written and oral
The reward
Basic salary will be commensurate with experience, but will range from £30k - £40k, with a substantial commission and benefits package including fully expensed car (option of car allowance).
