Installation of an external UPS maintenance bypass system allows system maintenance to be carried out quickly and safely without disruption to the protected load. Load is transferred to mains supply and the UPS is completely isolated. Application All hardwired UPS (typically UPS rated at over 3kVA) with on-line double conversion technology and having an integral static bypass. Benefits & Features   Available in single phase, three phase and three phase input single phase   output configurations up to 160kVA (three phase) on a standard   build from stock.   Larger bypass systems, and parallel bypass systems to order on minimal   lead-time.   Full make before break action, UPS can be bypassed without disruption to   the supplied load.   Engineers key with status indicator to prevent unauthorized bypass   operation.   Backup circuit operation to allow fast emergency bypass in the event of   complete UPS failure.   Circuit breakers to protect system from shorts and overloads.   Circuit breakers are ‘D’ curve rated to prevent nuisance tripping.   High quality cabinet in heavy gauge steel with corrosion resisting epoxy   paint finish.   Removable gland plates for easy cable installation.   Range of flexible options, including full system isolation switch, separate   bypass supply switching and intelligent interface to UPS for inverter   interlock.   Additional options that can reduce the overall cost of system   installation including combined outgoing distribution with protection   circuit breakers and integral surge and lighting protection.
