Site Surveys
The first stage in the process of moving to a next generation power or modular IT Room solution is to establish the current situation. Our engineers will carry out a detailed site survey to establish: -
• Existing power loading
• Electrical supply
• Electrical distribution method
• Air-conditioning provision
• Floor loading
• Planned expansion
• Available space
Following discussion to determine the correct levels of protection required, the Powerworks technical team will then put together a report and recommendations, together with a quotation for all aspects of the work required – all with the aim of achieving Current Best Practice applicable for your own environment and level of criticality. We will also discuss monitoring, level of service and support requirements, in fact all aspects to enable us to design, implement and support your organisation into the future.

`Powerworks made a site visit to discuss our requirements and surveyed the equipment that needed protecting. A proposal to include adequate UPS protection, electrical installation with by-pass switch, software and maintenance costs for the unit were presented and later installed. Since then we have had a number of power failures, but thanks to Powerworks our servers were fully protected.’
